Nashville, TN / October 1, 2009 – Country music’s brightest stars, Rodney Atkins, Heidi Newfield, Luke Bryan, Joey + Rory, comedian Gary Mule Deer, songwriters Craig Wiseman, Jeffrey Steele, Tony Mullins amongst several other special guests turned out Tuesday night for the 5th Annual Stars for Second Harvest concert at the historic Ryman Auditorium, raising $45,000 for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee by the end of the night. The audience of industry insiders, fans and Second Harvest Food Bank supporters were treated to intimate, acoustic performances as well as few unexpected surprises.

The concert roared with music, fun, laughter and smiles as comedian Gary Mule Deer entertained with hysterical rants and jokes and friends alike joined in on each other’s performances creating unique moments, rare to see at most shows anywhere else. Overall a smashing success for all parties involved including sponsors O’Charley’s, Second Harvest, Craig Wiseman and the Big Loud Shirt gang. Just earlier in the week, Craig Wiseman, Joey + Rory, Jeremy McComb, Second Harvest, and Big Loud Shirt rallied together raising 150lbs of canned goods and $1340 in monetary donations with their first ever Music Row Rally.
