Luke Bryan and Universal Music Nashville Toast The Town For Recent Career Success
Nashville – (July 10, 2013) – Luke Bryan and Universal Music Nashville hosted a private party in Nashville this evening to toast the town for its participation and continued support of his career and to also celebrate the double Platinum selling status of his tailgates & tanlines album, the ACM Entertainer of the Year’s most successful album to date. In addition to being certified for sales over two million, the project has now sold a total of nine million tracks and includes three #1 and double Platinum singles.
“These are amazing days!” Luke said as he greeted the crowd. “You guys are such a blessing to me. To have music in your hearts and then go take that music and turn singers into stars.”
Also celebrated was Luke’s new #1 hit “Crash My Party,” which is the title track and first song from his forth coming August 13 release. This marks his seventh career #1 single and sets a Billboard record as the largest 1-week audience since 2005 with 45.5 million listeners.
Luke’s career now boasts over four million in album sales with seven #1 singles. He is the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year and was named the #1 Artist of 2012 and #1 Male Artist of 2012 by Country Aircheck. Billboard named tailgates & tanlines the #2 Country Album and the #3 Country Artist Album of 2012 and claimed Luke as the #3 Top Country Artist of the Year. Also in 2012, Luke took home 11 music awards, including a record nine wins at the American Country Awards as well as his first American Music Award. This spring, Luke co-hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards with Blake Shelton and received the coveted Entertainer of the Year award as well as the Vocal Event award with Jason Aldean and Eric Church for “The Only Way I Know.” At the CMT Music Awards in June, Luke won for Collaborative Video of the Year for “The Only Way I Know.”
Luke is currently headlining his “Dirt Road Diaries Tour” through the fall, selling out venues across North America.
